Short on funds? Looking for ways to save money on your wedding? Have you ever heard of a sponsored wedding? I recently had a mother of a bride ask me about sponsored weddings.
Sponsored Weddings are the new trend. Even Star Jones had a sponsored wedding, soliciting top wedding professionals to participate in her wedding in exchange for advertising. Various wedding related business' provide you with there services free of charge or at least a portion off, in exchange for advertising their services at your ceremony and reception. Advertisements may include a Thank You section in your wedding program, a sponsor table at the reception with brochures and business cards, gift bags with vendor products and information, and possibly even taking out an ad in the local newspaper to acknowledge their services.
If you find vendors that are willing to participate in a sponsored wedding you can save thousands of dollars while having your ultimate dream wedding. But do you want advertisements at your wedding? Do you want people to know that you didn't even pay for your wedding? These are questions you need to ask yourself before beginning to solicit wedding professionals.
Needless to say, brides and grooms as well as wedding vendors have mixed feelings on sponsored weddings.
