January, February, and March are prime wedding planning times, and a trip to a bridal show can be resourceful provided you follow these insightful tips that have helped many of my clients over the years and helped them get the most out of an event.
- Take return address labels with you. Most vendors will require you to fill out some sort of contest or contact form. Bringing labels will speed up the time spent at booths and spare your hand the pain of filling out 30 -50 entry forms! If you will be printing up new labels before the show it may be helpful to add your wedding date and a phone number.
- Arrive early. If you are still in search of the perfect gown ask a friend or relative to hold some seats or (if allowed) place a "reserved for:" sign on a seat in the front of the room near the stage to allow you the best vantage point. The detailing on some gowns may be very hard to see in the 15th row.
- Prioritize. Although it would be very nice to win a prize you should make a list of the services you need and see those vendors first. Then if required, visit the other exhibitors to assure your grand prize entry form is signed and valid.
